Shakespeare & Social Justice
On the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s passing, Denison Libraries welcomed guest speakers of the Columbus Actors’ Theatre, renowned for their Columbus program ”Shakespeare in the Park.” After performing a scene from Much Ado About Nothing, they lectured on their “Shakespeare in the Park” program, how public theatre can be a tool for social justice, & why Shakespeare is still relevant even today.
